Kerry, a grandmother living on her modest pension, faced a challenge. Despite her limited means, she wanted to buy a beautiful dress for her granddaughter, Anne, who was about to attend her high school prom. Even though Anne downplayed the event, claiming she didn’t care about it, Kerry suspected the real reason behind her reluctance—money.
