Former One Direction member Liam Payne has reportedly died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires, according to local media.
The pop star allegedly fell from the third floor of a hotel in the Argentinian capital, as reported by TMZ. Witnesses stated that Payne fell from his room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Emergency services were seen outside the hotel, where a red tent was set up at the scene.
Investigations into Payne’s death are ongoing.
Liam Payne first rose to fame in 2010 alongside Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson on The X Factor as members of One Direction.
He was previously in a relationship with British singer Cheryl Cole, with whom he shares a son, Bear Grey, born on March 22, 2017.
