Donald Trump reveals who he thinks killed JFK

A Shadow Cast Over History

This year marks the 62nd anniversary of the JFK assassination, an event etched into the fabric of American history. Despite the Warren Commission’s conclusion that Oswald acted alone, countless conspiracy theories have emerged — implicating everyone from the CIA to the KGB and the Mafia.

In a wide-ranging conversation with OutKick founder Clay Travis aboard Air Force One, Trump gave his personal take on the historic mystery. When asked if he believed Oswald was responsible, Trump answered:

“I do. And I’ve always felt that — but of course, was he helped?”

His response echoes a long-standing public suspicion: that Oswald may have been part of a larger plot, perhaps even manipulated by so-called deep state actors.

Trump’s JFK Files Release: Fact or Frustration?

Earlier this month, Trump authorized the release of over 2,000 pages of newly declassified documents tied to the Kennedy assassination — part of the larger commitment he made during his presidency to make the full collection public. Previously, Trump had teased a release of nearly 80,000 pages.

These records, ranging from typewritten intelligence memos to cryptic handwritten notes, offered new glimpses into the Oswald investigation. Among them was a report from a high-ranking CIA agent who cast doubt on Oswald’s ability to carry out the assassination alone. The agent referred to Oswald as a:

“Poor shot.”

The files also noted that the Secret Service had been warned about a potential threat to JFK months earlier, in August — a detail that adds weight to theories of government oversight or worse, active cover-up.

Additionally, one document painted a picture of Oswald’s troubled personal life:

“Oswald had a stormy relationship with his Soviet wife, who rode him incessantly.”

Another confirmed what some already suspected: he had been under KGB surveillance during his time in the Soviet Union. But despite the headlines, Trump seemed less than impressed with the contents.

“I don’t think there’s any that’s earth-shattering,”

he told Travis, suggesting the documents leave room for the public to make their own conclusions.

Who Really Killed JFK?

Oswald, then 24, was arrested for JFK’s murder but was killed just two days later by nightclub owner Jack Ruby. With no trial ever held, the questions surrounding Oswald’s motivations and connections have remained unresolved for generations.

While the FBI and the Warren Commission upheld the lone gunman theory, others believe Oswald was either assisted or framed — part of a web of actors that could include the CIA, Cuban exiles, the Mafia, or internal U.S. elements.

The recent wave of declassified files has reignited the debate, with some Americans pointing fingers at intelligence agencies. A post on X (formerly Twitter) summed up a popular sentiment:

“The CIA assassinated the sitting President JFK and they were never held accountable for it!”

Meanwhile, others have speculated that the files still being withheld suggest something more sinister. Even theories involving UFOs and government knowledge of aliens have surfaced, though no concrete proof has emerged to support such claims.

A Legacy Still Unresolved

With Trump’s latest comments and document dump, the JFK assassination is back in the national conversation. Whether his remarks will shift public opinion or spark new investigations remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: the truth about November 22, 1963, continues to be one of America’s most enduring mysteries.
