Did you see it right away, or did it take a second look?

This image cleverly plays with perception! While at first glance it shows a man standing near a vintage car with an open hood, it’s actually an optical illusion. If you look closely, the car’s open hood is positioned perfectly to appear as though it’s the silhouette of a woman in a dress and hat standing in front of the man.

Did you see it right away, or did it take a second look?

Exactly! The “engine hood” creates the illusion of a woman’s silhouette. On a vintage Volkswagen Beetle, the engine is located in the rear, and the front hood is actually the trunk. So what looks like an open engine hood is playing a clever trick on us.

This is why the caption says, “Many Won’t See It.” It’s a fun optical illusion!
