Ground Beef Casserole

Looking for easy (but still healthy!) ground beef and cheese meal ideas? This ground beef casserole will have your family coming back for more and become a regular in the ground beef recipe collection.
Ground beef is seasoned with onion, pepper, garlic, and a surprise ingredient (Rotel!), and layered atop pasta in a cheesy sauce for a great, sparkling casserole that’ll have you saying “mm-mm-mmmm! on me.
When I make comfort food with ground beef that’s crowd-pleasing, not overdone and easy, my mind immediately (and less creatively) goes to old-fashioned tacos or spaghetti and meatballs.

Not to derail the classics, they’re a family favorite for a reason, but this beef casserole recipe is a fresh take on ground beef dinner with
SO MUCH FLAVOR.

 

Ingredients:
°1 box of penne pasta, cooked to your liking
°2 lbs minced meat
°1 teaspoon of salt
°Half a teaspoon of black pepper
°2 teaspoons of garlic powder
°1 teaspoon onion powder
°Half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper
°4 ounces of cream cheese
°1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven 400 degrees.
Cook the ground beef until just cooked through and drain off any remaining fat.
Reduce stove heat to medium and add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cream cheese and half of the cheddar cheese. Stirring mix to cheese is totally melted.
Combine meat and cheese mixture with cooked penne pasta and transfer to a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.
Sprinkling rest cheddar cheese on top.
Baking casserole for 15 mn. When you’re done,serve and Enjoy !

Casseroles like this homestyle beef casserole are freezer-friendly dishes, which allows you to make them ahead of time if required. So, if you want to freeze this casserole for later, you definitely can—all you will need to do is assemble the casserole and freeze it before baking. Then, when you’re ready to bake it, thaw it in your fridge overnight. Let the casserole warm up for about 30 minutes before baking it as the recipe originally instructs.
